Well I lay my head back
Feel the touch of the pillow
Darkness descends, as my mind begins to billow
One hundred black holes envelop my vision
I relinquish all control of whatever i'm thinking
The lightness in my chest picks me up off the bed
And as my soul left my body you could call me half dead
Reality puts me back into my mind
So I take a deep breath, and say that it's fine
One step out into the unknown
that one step was just too far away from home;
Stand in the doorway, look ahead at the rafters
The expansion of your eyelids remains memorable after
If my consciousness was standing tall like a tree
Would the branches spread wide and the roots run deep?
Reality puts me back into my mind
So I take a deep breath, and say that it's fine
